About Yoon Hee Kim:

Yoon Hee Kim is a tea specialist, photographer, multicultural educator, chef and tea ceremony artist. As president of TeaClassics and Hancha Tea, offering premium wholesale teas and tea wares as well as tea photos, educational seminars and consulting services, Yoon Hee travels the world in pursuit of the finest teas.

An international lecturer and frequent speaker at tea conferences, corporate trainings and educational institutions, Yoon Hee is also a certified instructor for the U.S. Tea Association’s Specialty Tea Institute (STI), Co-Chair of its Education & Certification Committee, serves on the STI Advisory Board, and is Vice President of the Western Tea Businesses Association. As a certified tea master with the Tea Culture Association of Korea, Yoon Hee serves as its U.S. Director, teaches and performs the traditional art of Korean Tea Ceremony, and is the founding director of the Korean Tea Culture Foundation. Prior to transitioning to the tea industry full time, Yoon Hee was a highly regarded Asian Pacific American community leader and civil rights advocate. By sourcing fine teas and sharing her stories of tea from across the regions, Yoon Hee’s lifelong passion for tea and deep seeded desire to create positive social change and help connect the world is being realized, one delicious cup at a time.

THE ART OF CUPPING & TASTING

Marcela Zuchovicki, owner of Jalima Coffee will lead an interactive discussion on the art of coffee cupping and tasting. Similar to wine tasting, cupping allows the participant to evaluate and compare different coffees and their characteristics. Rarely seen by the public, cupping is the technique used to evaluate the flavor profile of a coffee. The coffee will be evaluated on five major characteristics: flavor, acidity, aftertaste, fragrance and body. Come be a part of this wonderful, special experience.

About Marcela Andrea Zuchovicki.
Marcela's passion for specialty coffee as well as her background in international relations and cultural affairs created the desire to one day own a specialty coffee business that would bring the most delicious and exotic high quality products from Mexico to the U.S. Fluent in five languages and a degree in Actuarial science, Marcela has lived in many different countries, experiencing and appreciating some of the finest coffees throughout the world. Her love of cuisine from all cultures, the enjoyment of entertaining and sharing new flavors and recipes with others is central to the creation of Jalima Coffee.
